Nature creates simple beauty

The organizers of the First Half of 2021 Smile World photography contest have just announced the prizes in this year’s contest. The contest consists of 4 main categories: Happy Time, Beauty of Nature, Documentary and Travel, and Open. Photographer Bui Viet Duc was awarded the silver prize in the category of Natural Beauty. He received a prize of $1,000. The photo captures the early morning scene at Long Coc tea hill (Phu Tho), one of the most beautiful tea hills in Vietnam. During the late autumn and early winter, the tea hill is covered with white dew, creating the feeling of a fairyland.
Photographer Khanh Phan won bronze in the Documentary and Tourism categories.  She received a prize of 500 USD.  The photo captures the scene of a farmer catching fish in the middle of the nipa palm forest in Quang Ngai.  This forest is up to 10 hectares wide with rich fauna.  This is considered the green lung of Quang Ngai.

Following the sound I approached a room where a group of women wore ao dai and played traditional musical instruments. I stood there for a long time, enjoy the music and pay attention to the person sitting at the door who is also listening to his friends playing music”, the British photographer shared the memory of taking the photo in 2020.
