Like father, like son, literally! Just as Joshua Morrow embarked on all the congratulations and celebrations for his 30th anniversary milestone as Nick Newman on The Young and the Restless, came word that his son, Crew Morrow, just landed his first soap opera role on Y&R’s sister soap, The Bold and the Beautiful.
Previously, it was announced that Crew would take on the role of Will Spencer, the son of Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), who happen to be played by former Y&R castmates of Joshua’s. Heather played his on-screen sister, Victoria Newman, while Don played Brad Carlton.

Crew is set to make his B&B debut on the upcoming August 1st episode of the CBS daytime drama series and fans are looking forward to the soap opera finally SORASing Katie and Bill’s son for more summer teen angst, romance and more.
Recently, Joshua visited the Michael Fairman Channel for a livestream conversation where he touched on many aspects of his three decade career in Genoa City and his excitement for his son, 19-year-old Crew, to not only follow in his footsteps, but to forge his own path to success. Y&R fans also recall that Joshua debuted on Y&R as a young Nick when he was also just 19-years-old.
When asked what Joshua and his wife, Tobe thought of Crew launching his daytime soap career, Morrow shared, “This is something enormous for us. I’ve got four children, and this is the son that has picked up a new passion and hobby every six months of his life.”
Detailing how they found out about Crew’s plans, Joshua recalled, “He was on his way to go to school at Oregon, and he took his final trip with his mother, and he got on the plane. He goes, ‘You know what? I’m not going do this. These aren’t my people. I’m just going to go home and write movies and be an actor.’”
Later, Joshua said he had a heart-to-heart with Crew, “I remember sitting him down going, ‘Bro, it’s not that easy.’ He goes, ‘You did it.’ I’m like, ‘Well, that’s true. Alright, we support you.’ He had written a couple screenplays and had taken a screenwriting class and one acting class at this point. I introduced him to my manager and Crew got a couple movies right away, and then got this role on The Bold and Beautiful. And he’s just like, ‘Of course, I did.’ I’m like, ‘Wow!’ I mean, he’s so like me. It’s eerie.’”
Joshua can’t wait for Crew to turn up on our screens shortly on The Bold and the Beautiful. “I knew once he set out to do this, I said, ‘This kid, he’s going be a star,’ and he is. He’s got a big future ahead of him,” Morrow expressed with the highest of confidence. “I cannot wait for the world to meet him, and for all of you to meet him, because he is a great kid. He’s far more ambitious than I was. He’s far more dedicated to improving himself. He is going to be a very, very big deal. Mark my words.”
