The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, September 3 reveals Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will find out Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) fired Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Also coming up, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will plead with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) on Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) behalf. Plus, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will stun Billy. And Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will learn that Sally and Adam are kaput.

Y&R spoilers tease Chelsea will be shocked when Sally says it’s over with Adam. And she’ll implore her not to walk away from him. However, Sally will tell Chelsea she has no right to ask her anything. “He made a mistake, we both did, that night meant nothing,” Chelsea will reply.

“If you would just consider giving him another chance.” She’ll continue to make excuses for Adam, saying he lost his footing for one moment, but it will never happen again. “You say that as if that’s the first time you and Adam have cheated on Billy,” Sally will reply.

Y&R Daily Scoop – Sally Plans To Stay As Far Away As Possible

Sally will add the only way to protect herself is to stay as far away from Adam is possible, just as he’s walking up with Chelsea’s coffee. He’ll ask to speak with her to resolve things. “I think the only person you need to resolve things with is Chelsea,” Sally will say, walking away.

“Hey what did Sally mean when she said you need to resolve things between us?” Chelsea will ask Adam. But he’ll try to dismiss it. However, Chelsea will ask him again what Sally meant. “Maybe it helps her to let go, if she thinks it meant more to us,” he’ll reply.

As for Sally, she’ll head to a meeting with Chloe, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E Bregman) about launching Marchetti Z. Of course, Sally will be distracted and won’t be able to get Adam off her mind.

Lauren will ask her if the delivery schedule is feasible and Sally will realize she hadn’t been listening to a word that was said. But luckily, Chloe will answer for her. Lauren will ask if she’s okay and Sally will say yes. After Lauren and Summer leave, Chloe will ask what’s going on. “It’s Adam,” Sally will say. “It’s over.”

In the GCAC lobby, Victor will tell Billy he was handed everything he has on a silver spoon. “You know Billy Boy, you’re not only a peacock, you’re a parasite, you live off the accomplishments of others.” But Billy will tell The Mustache he underestimates him. “You’ll learn what I’m capable of.”

After his run-in with Victor, Billy will walk into Abbott-Chancellor and he and Chance will have a business meeting that zero viewers will care about. Eventually, Chance will ask Billy if he’s still planning to oust Lily. “It’s already done,” he’ll reply. He’ll say Lily was going to stab him in the back so it’s over. “Is this going to be a problem for you?”

Chance will say turning on his partner with no thought is just ruthless. “It was the right thing to do for the company Chance,” Billy will reply. But Chance will point out that things could go sideways fast. So, Billy will ask if he’s ready to jump ship. “If you could turn on Lily that fast, what’s stopping you from turning on me?” Chance will ask. “I’ll make it easy for you and resign right now.”

Finally, Victor will head downstairs to the Jazz Club, and Lily will tell him Billy has decided to run Chancellor on his own. “Billy fired me.” She’ll say he was convinced she was trying to push him out. Victor will ask if Billy was right. “Yes,” she’ll reply. Lily will add that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) putting Billy in charge was a mistake.

So, Lily will tell Victor she’s not leaving without a fight. She wants to protect Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) legacy. But she’ll say she can’t protect Chancellor on her own. “What I do know is you’re loyal to Katherine and I know how you feel about Billy.”

She knows he’s waiting for Billy to fail so he can go in and pick up the pieces. “You’re planning a takeover and if that’s true, I wanna help,” Lily will add. “And I believe you and I can take down Billy together.” Lily will say she knows it’s a big ask but she’ll do whatever it takes to save Chancellor.

Then she’ll tell Victor she knows where Chancellor and Billy are vulnerable. “What do you expect in return?” Victor will ask and Lily will say she wants her position at Chancellor back. So, Victor will thank her and say he’ll give it some thought. But is Lily going to regret this?
