It’s the OG Golden State Warriors vs. the Chicago Bulls! Since the last ten outings between the Warriors and Bulls, the purple and golden team has won 8 matches and the Bulls won the rest. Now you know who’s been dominating. But, before the iconic clash begins we look into their injury updates. With both Stephen Curry and Draymond Green having sustained injuries recently, it raises questions about their availability for tonight’s matchup. So, let’s break down the latest updates and see who’s in and who’s out ahead of tonight’s game.
Who is injured within the Stephen Curry & Co.?
While the Warriors’ injury report comes with little disappointment as they have 5 hoopers injured, it also has one good news. And the good thing is that Stephen Curry will be playing against the Bulls. The veteran had injured his ankle in the recent match against the Celtics, so his status was a bit doubtful, but there’s nothing to worry about to their latest injury report. But, it’s not the same with Draymond Green, as he continues to be “out” due to his mild calf strain, which he sustained in a match against the Wizards.
According to the team, he will miss at least four games. However, next, they have their forward, Kevon Looney who is “out” due to an illness. The young hooper, Brandin Podziemski is also “out” as he continues to be on rest for his abdominal injury. He sustained the injury in the second quarter against the 109-105 win against the Suns on December 28, 2024.
Steve Kerr on 30th December said, “It’s not bad. The MRI was clear. He’s day-to-day, which is great. You always worry about the abdominal strains. Those can keep guys out for a while. This one doesn’t seem to be too bad.” But, looks like he will take more time to recover. Next, we move on to Kyle Anderson, who is also “out” due to his hip injury.
Their last injury is something you must know as it’s Jonathan Kuminga, who has been
“out” for a couple of games, due to his right ankle injury which he sustained in the second quarter against the Grizzlies. And this is what Kerr has to say about it, ” (Kuminga’s) progressing, but it was a pretty bad ankle sprain, and he hasn’t been on the court yet or anything. But he’s getting rehab every day, and he’s doing strength stuff and he’s on the bike, so he’s doing as well as possible. But he’s nowhere close to being ready.” So with, that we come to an end to the Warriors’ injury report, and let’s look into what the Bulls report has to say.
The Bulls’ injury report also has a similar story. We start with their guard Ayo Dosunmu, who is listed as “day-to-day“, due to his calf strain which he suffered against the Bucks. Their other guard Coby White, is also in “day-to-day” status due to his left ankle sprain sustained in the first half against the Celtics. However, the next hooper is Chris Duarte who is again questionable due to a personal reason. He also missed playing against the Clippers for the same reason.
Well, we have two more hoopers listed on the injury report. Jevon Carter also remains
“day-to-day” due to an illness. Well, the last hooper injured is Torrey Craig, and is “out” due to his lower leg injury and was said that he will be re-evaluated in two weeks. So, we have covered the injuries from both teams, let’s look into their depth chart.
