MU transfer: With the agreement to recruit Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich, Man United also confirmed that they will say goodbye to Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Despite having reached a preliminary agreement to join West Ham United, Noussair Mazraoui’s deal has unexpectedly fallen through, with the Moroccan defender reportedly only wanting to join Manchester United, where he would reunite with manager Erik ten Hag.
Man United have immediately returned to the race in the hope of helping coach Ten Hag complete his most satisfactory squad for the new season. The Guardian confirmed that Man United are close to signing Mazraoui. The Old Trafford team has agreed a transfer fee that Bayern is asking for between 15 and 20 million pounds for this right-back.
On the other hand, Wan-Bissaka will be the one to leave and his destination is likely to be West Ham. MU wants to collect at least 15 million pounds from the sale of the English defender to offset the cost of recruiting Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.
Ten Hag hopes that reuniting with Noussair Mazraoui will help revive Antony as the two had a great time playing together at Ajax, under the guidance of the Dutch coach. This was the most impressive winger duo in the Dutch National Championship in the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons, before Ten Hag and a series of stars left Ajax.
Another deal from Bayern Munich that MU is interested in is Mathijs de Ligt. However, this deal is likely to fall through after Bayern’s new signing Hiroki Ito suffered a serious injury and will be out for a long time. This also affects MU, after Leny Yoro was injured in the match against Arsenal and is expected to be out for a few weeks.
