US Vice President Kamala Harris said that if she wins the November election, she will become the first US president in eight years to enjoy drinking beer.
Unlike Mr. Donald Trump or Mr. Joe Biden – who abstain from alcoholic beverages, Vice President Harris said on a late-night TV show on October 8 that she occasionally drinks beer.
Right on television, the Democratic Party’s female presidential candidate opened a can of beer to drink with host Stephen Colbert.
Harris revealed that she had a beer with her husband, Doug Emhoff, not long ago. “The last time I had a beer was when I went to watch baseball with Doug,” she said.
“A cold beer. From the beautiful city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin,” Colbert replied, referring to one of the seven battleground states that could decide the outcome of the 2024 presidential election.

During her interview with Colbert, Harris criticized Trump for allegedly sending COVID-19 test kits to Russia even when Americans were running low. “He thinks they’re his friends. What about the American people? They should be the priority,” Harris said.
Previously, journalist Bob Woodward revealed in his new book that Mr. Trump had seven phone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin since leaving office, and secretly sent COVID-19 test kits to Russia in 2020. Mr. Trump denied this allegation.
Harris’ 40-minute interview also touched on other topics, such as the conflict between Hamas and Israel. “There needs to be a ceasefire and an immediate hostage release. This war has to end,” Harris said.
The US vice president said she had met with the families of the hostages and relatives of Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip. “We have to reach a deal and we will not give up,” she said.
In recent days, Ms. Harris has been appearing on CBS ‘s 60 Minutes , the podcast Call Her Daddy , The View and Howard Stern’s radio show.
