Nicki Minaj is set to turn Malahide pink as the queen of rap takes to the stage following Shania Twain’s knock-out performance in June.
The hip-hop superstar will hit Dublin this weekend as part of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The gig will mark her first performance in Ireland since 2015, with the star canceling her 2019 show hours before she was due on stage due to travel issues.
Here is all you need to know about Nicki’s first Irish performance in nine years at her Malahide Castle gig this Saturday, July 6.
Where can I get tickets?
There are still some tickets left for the event, coming in at €89.90 each before fees.
Make sure to only buy tickets from official sources, you can purchase some on TicketMaster by clicking here.
What time should I arrive?
Gates to the event open at 4pm, with the show scheduled to get underway at 5pm but the Queen of rap is known to show up on stage fashionably late – so be prepared for that.
No support act has been announced for the singer’s Irish tour as of yet.
What will she play?
Nicki is expected to play a mix of her newer tracks along with her older classics, including hit songs Super Bass and Anaconda which have both surpassed a whopping one billion YouTube views.
The mum-of-one hasn’t officially released a setlist, but if her recent Morocco concert is anything to go by, concert-goers are in for a nostalgic evening.
The star is expected to kick off the show with Barbie Dangerous, a stand-out song from her 2023 album. She will then continue on with the following tracks:
- FTCU
- Beep Beep
- Press Play
- Big Difference
- Feeling Myself
- Cowgirl
- High School
- Your Love
- Side to Side (Ariana Grande cover)
- Needle
- Chun-Li
- Red Ruby Da Sleeze
- Barbie World (Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice with Aqua cover)
- Roman’s Revenge
- Monster (Ye cover)
- Super Freaky Girl
- Anaconda
- Super Bass
- Moment 4 Life
- Starships
After what is promised to be an epic performance, concert-goers can expect the show to come to an end with Nicki performing her TikTok hit Everybody.
How do I get to and from the venue?
Organisers recommend using public transport to get to and from the concert as traffic will likely be congested and there will be limited parking available.
Luckily the concert entrance, via Hogan’s Gate, is only about a 15-minute walk from Malahide Dart station, with regular services running from town and further southbound.
There will be private bus transfers organised on the day to take concert-goers out to Malahide and back. Marathon is putting on a direct bus service to Custom House Quay, Dublin 1, after the event from the Dublin Road, offered as a single or return service. You can pre-book and find more information at marathoncoaches.ie.
Another option for heading home is taking a Concert Express bus, which will be operating a single-journey bus service into Dublin city centre. You can pre-book and find more information at concertexpress.ie.
Dublin Bus also has routes that stop off at the event. The H2 bus will bring you from Abbey Street to the venue, but there will be no additional services put on for the gig.
Organisers urge concertgoers to plan their routes to the venue and back, ahead of time, to make for a smooth and enjoyable show!
