Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol will meet in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to crown an undisputed light heavyweight champion.
Beterbiev brings the WBC, IBF and WBO belts to the fight, having put together an incredible record of 20-0, with 20 wins coming by way of knockout. He has defeated the likes of Oleksandr Gvozdyk, Joe Smith Jr, Anthony Yarde and most recently Callum Smith when they fought in January.
Bivol is the current WBA champion and thus holds the last belt in the 175-pound class. He has a record of 23-0, with 12 of those wins coming inside the distance. The most important victory of his career came in May 2022 when he successfully defended his belt against Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas, defeating the Mexican by unanimous decision.
The winner will be the division’s first undisputed champion since Roy Jones Jr and will cement his place atop the pound-for-pound list.
Artur Beterbiev defeats Dmitry Bivol by majority decision (114-114, 115-113, 116-112).
