Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Trave Kelce, attempted to grab the attention of Taylor Swift at the Eras Tour concert in Arrowhead Stadium. Despite his best efforts, he was unsuccessful and unable to meet her, according to First Sportz.
During the latest episode of his podcast, New Heights, Kelce talked about his disappointment and his failure to strike up a conversation with Taylor while she was performing at the Chief’s stadium. The 2x Super Bowl Champion apparently came up with a plan to share his number with her through a friendship bracelet he was going to give to her. Trading colorful, beaded friendship bracelets has become a common trend for attendees of the Eras tour, so his idea was pretty thoughtful, I will give him that. Sadly for him, his efforts were met with disappointment, as he wasn’t even given a chance to give her the bracelet since Taylor doesn’t meet with fans during her shows.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little ʙuттhurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce told his brother, Jason Kelce, as reported by TMZ. “She doesn’t meet anybody — or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal.”
Travis Kelce’s co-host of his podcast, Jason Kelce, joked that Taylor’s reason for not meeting him was because she is a Philadelphia Eagles fan, which is the team that Jason plays for. According to First Sportz, Travis compared the capacity of the crowd to a crowd during one of the Chief’s games in the same stadium saying, ”
Kelce is currently single, since ending his relationship with ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole.
“I’ve only seen Arrowhead filled like that for Chiefs games with that much excitement, and everybody was dressed in pink and purple going crazy for her. It was wild. It was a wild show.
