The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was thrown for a loop when he came home and learned Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) had just fired Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). It’s honestly tough to know who to root for since neither Diane nor Kyle looks good in this Y&R storyline.

Diane crossed the line by cutting Kyle loose without talking it over with Jack first.

That was pushy and uncalled for, but we can also understand her frustration with Kyle.

It’s true that Kyle has undermined Diane’s authority and made himself impossible to work with.

Any other employee would’ve been fired long before Kyle was, so that’s something to remember here.

That said, Diane was handed a job without the necessary experience, so there could be some truth to Kyle’s insistence that he had to step in and help her.

Jack insists Diane’s work has been exemplary, but how long will that last now that Kyle’s not around to clean up her messes?

It might be interesting to see Diane falter now that she’s forced Kyle out.

Diane could crash and burn despite her previous claims that Kyle was essentially sabotaging her.

Perhaps Diane could see that Kyle was helping her more than she realized.

There’s another layer to all this since Diane faked her demise and abandoned Kyle for years.

Kyle managed to forgive Diane and opened his heart to a relationship, so it’s wild that Diane’s throwing their bond away over a business dispute now.

Diane may come to regret her actions if she sinks without Kyle’s assistance and potentially gets the boot next. Will Jack ultimately have to fire or at least demote Diane?

It could become a soapy situation where what goes around comes around. Diane might lose her job and regret that she ever gave Kyle his pink slip.

On the bright side, maybe this could lead to Kyle and Diane finally repairing their damaged relationship.

Diane and Kyle might still have a chance to fix their broken bond, but it probably can’t happen while Diane’s smugly running the Jabot show alongside Jack!
