When we think of Cybertrucks we picture those tough stainless steel exteriors – bulletproof and somewhat waterproof.
But now, one father and son duo has taken the truck in a different direction and designed a Cybertruck entirely out of wood.
And before you ask: yes, it actually works.
The duo document their creative work on their YouTube channel ND – Woodworking Art where they craft ‘stunning wooden cars that combine artistry with functionality’.
Other wooden vehicles the duo have created include sports cars, motorbikes and even a tank.
In their latest project, they spent 100 days building the wooden Cybertruck, and their YouTube video documenting the process has already gained over 2.5 million views since its release in late October.
It’s a stunning display of craftsmanship, and clearly loved by both their YouTube viewers and Tesla fans alike.
Alongside the video, they penned an open letter to Elon Musk, saying:
“I am a passionate content creator with a deep love for wooden vehicles and a tremendous admiration for both you and Tesla.
“Over the years, I’ve embarked on several wooden car projects to gain valuable experience. And today I launched a car that I am very impressed with, the Cybertruck. It is also the car that many of my audiences love and want me to build.
“I am aware that Tesla has faced its share of challenges in bringing the Cybertruck to fruition. However, I maintain unwavering faith in your vision and the capabilities of Tesla. I am confident that this extraordinary vehicle will ultimately succeed.
“I hope to have the honor of gifting this wooden Cybertruck to you and Tesla, and wish you and Tesla continued success and maintain your position in the international arena.”

The letter, along with photos of the wooden truck, was posted on X (formerly Twitter). And the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk actually responded.
He wrote: “Sure, much appreciated,” followed by a heart emoji.
Thrilled by Musk’s response, the YouTubers replied: “I am truly delighted to hear your compliments, please let me know how I can send a wooden replica of the Cybertruck to you.”
Safe to say the vehicle has Musk’s name on it as it features the ‘X’ logo on the door.
Though we don’t know whether Musk has received the wooden truck yet, but fans have been quick to praise the creation.
“His building skills are amazing. His craftsmanship is top notch,” one person wrote underneath the YouTube video.
“That result is bad-ass. This has to be one of the best looking Cybertruck to ever hit the roads and I’d love for it to be prominently featured at Tesla’s HQ,” another remarked.
One viewer added: “Cant start to think about the insane amount of measurements that went into this project… This is sooo cool to watch and nothing short of superb.”
Others joked that the wooden version was ‘better than the original’ and another said: “This is gonna give the original Cybertruck a run for their money.”
