As expected, Taylor Swift really “burned” the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards stage with “rainbow energy”. The singer performed her two latest songs: “You Need To Calm Down” and “Lover”, both from her studio album “Lover”, bringing two completely different extremes!
If “You Need To Calm Down” is a bright, vibrant, explosive color, then “Lover” is deep, calm and full of sweetness. That’s enough to push the temperature of the VMAs stage to over 100 degrees!
Taylor Swift in a bra inspired by the classic Jean Paul Gautlier bra worn by Queen of Pop Madonna, as a message to the LGBT community (Madonna has been an activist for the LGBT community since the 80s of the last century until now).
The backing dancers come from many races, including dragqueens, plus-size dancers,… all to emphasize the performance’s message of honoring diversity.
Taylor brought almost all the brilliance and grandeur from the “You Need To Calm Down” music video to the stage.
