Traveling to Lille, Real Madrid used an attacking formation with Vinicius Junior and Endrick. Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde took on the task of controlling the midfield area.
Real Madrid easily controlled the game and in the 6th minute, they had the first chance with a dangerous shot from Vinicius to the near corner. In the 18th minute, Endrick broke through strongly and fired a powerful shot from close range but goalkeeper Chevalier played excellently.

Coach Ancelotti was forced to change the lineup in the second half with Mbappe, Luka Modric and Arda Guler coming on. Real Madrid attacked continuously but the defense and goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier had an excellent match.
Opportunities kept coming to Real Madrid at the end of the match, Bellingham had a close-range shot in the 85th minute, Antonio Rudiger headed in the 87th minute and Guler threatened in the 90th minute, but all could not defeat goalkeeper Chevalier.
Losing 0-1 to Lille, Real Madrid ended a 36-match unbeaten streak that had lasted for 9 months, and also ended a 14-match unbeaten streak in the UEFA Champions League.
