David de Gea, a former goalie for Manchester United, is the latest athlete to enter the eSports market by founding his own company.
Manchester United’s best goalkeeper, David de Gea, just officially established the Rebels Gaming eSports squad. Rebels Gaming initially said that the firm will participate in three games: League of Legends, Valorant, and Rainbow Six Siege.

Rebels Gaming will invest in and nurture streamers and content creators in addition to competing in the three sports stated above. Not content with that, De Gea’s group will also have a training facility of its own in Valdebebas, Madrid.
However, according to the press release, the organization has verified that a team of professionals in the field of e-sports will come to work on this project. Rebels Gaming’s personnel details have not yet been made public in a variety of places.
De Gea is the most recent football player to enter the market as a result. Prior to that, his club teammate Jesse Lingard, who founded the JLINGZ Esports company, and former Manchester City striker Sergio Agüero, who founded Kru Esports, were also interested in eSports.
