On Saturday, Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford was seen going to a jewellery store in Cheshire with his car stopped on double yellow lines.
The 25-year-old and his teammate Tyrell Malacia went shopping together in the 25-year-old’s brand-new £700,000 Rolls-Royce. The doors were closed during the 20-minute trip.
The player, who was wearing a green tracksuit and white shoes, was also seen giving fans autographs.
One young fan was wearing a No. 10 Manchester United shirt with the England striker’s name on the back, and he got his hero to sign it.
It happened after United’s foreign players were seen back in training for the first time in a while. They are getting ready for a pre-season tour of the United States.
Some of the players seen going into Carrington on Saturday included Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, and Rashford. The team seemed happy as they started to get ready for next season.
Those who didn’t play in the post-season internationals have been back in training for more than a week. Their first game of the summer was last week, when they beat Leeds 2-0 in Norway.
Mason Mount, Raphael Varane, and Tom Heaton were among the non-internationals who played in the game. Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill scored goals in the second half to give Erik ten Hag’s team the win.
They will play their next game, against Lyon, on Wednesday. After that, they will go to the United States to play Arsenal, Wrexham, Real Madrid, and Borussia Dortmund.
It’s been a little over a month since Rashford last played football. He scored on the very last play of England’s 4-0 win over Malta and just under an hour of their 7-0 win over North Macedonia.
The England forward was seen smiling happily when he got back to training with Anthony Elanga, another attacker for the Red Devils. Both will be hoping to improve next season and get more chances with the first team.
Rashford scored 30 goals in all competitions in 2022–23, which was the best season of his career. United finished third in the league and won the League Cup.
He did great on the left wing, but Erik ten Hag may have to move him back to the middle next season if he doesn’t get a new striker.
Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta was a player that Manchester United wanted, but his price tag of £68 million shocked them. Other players they wanted, like Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen, would have cost even more.
If Ten Hag wants to play Rashford on the left, the only clear choice through the middle is Anthony Martial, who is prone to injury. However, in a recent match, he did try Jadon Sancho as a false nine.
