Harry Kane is expected to join Manchester United now that Bayern Munich has cleared a major hurdle.
This season, the Reds are looking to sign another scorer to support Rasmus Hojlund, and Erik ten Hag may prioritize Kane over other options. Last summer, Ten Hag wanted the England captain more than anyone else, but talks stalled when Spurs’ Daniel Levy refused to sell to a direct rival.
Instead, Ten Hag focused on potential stars, leading to Hojlund’s transfer from Atalanta for £72 million. Despite being the team’s top scorer, the 21-year-old has shouldered much of the workload this season and is currently sidelined due to injury.
The United Stand on X asked: “Harry Kane to #mufc…YES/NO? [link]”
ManUtdMania also weighed in: “If you’re against Harry Kane joining Manchester United, I’d like to know why. He has everything we need. United should consider bringing in an experienced forward this summer to complement Hojlund’s world-class skills. It’s unlikely they’ll sign another player of similar age.”
With Bayer Leverkusen on track to win an unprecedented Bundesliga title, Kane may miss out on another trophy during his time at Bayern. However, he has performed admirably, contributing to 36 goals in 34 games across all competitions, including two Champions League victories over United this season.
On Saturday, Kane shone with three goals and two assists in Bayern’s 8-1 victory over Mainz. Kevin Nolan, West Ham United’s coach, told talkSPORT that he believes Kane will return to play in the Premier League at some point.
Nolan remarked, “I can definitely see him back in the Premier League. I believe Tottenham would never have sold him to Manchester United. However, if he moves to Bayern Munich, it will be easier for him to return from Germany. I think he will go to West Ham.”
He added, “Bayern would ask for their money back. He’s worth every penny. He scored at least 20 goals per season while playing for Tottenham. Is Manchester United actually that much better than Tottenham?”
Regardless of where he plays, Nolan believes Kane brings a different energy to any team he represents. “I think Manchester United is the greatest option for him.”
