LeBron James is famous and rich thanks to his peak basketball career. During charity events, James often gives away bicycles to children.
Recently, when his school opened in Ohio, more than 240 students of the school were generously given a bicycle with a helmet by James.
LeBron James is known for his remarkable community activities.
Explaining in a recent conversation with the Wall Street Journal, James said:
” Everything I do comes from my childhood memories. As I grow up, what I give away is a reflection of my childhood wishes. A bicycle, for me, is the only way to get around the city.
If I want to see friends, go sightseeing around the city, go to school, go play basketball, or whatever, it’s the bike that helps me do it .”
James previously confided to CNN editor Don Lemon that cycling as a child helped open up his worldview
The bicycle and sports gave James a sense of freedom. It allowed him to travel, meet and make friends with many white people. From then on, James saw a positive world before him.
To this day, James still rides his bike, even though he is 33 years old and owns many luxury cars. When he was still playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, he often invited his teammates to ride their bikes to the stadium as a way to warm up.
For James, besides the memory reasons, cycling is also very good because it is environmentally friendly, helps relieve stress and is suitable for relaxing exercise.
