After all, Manchester United’s board of directors has made a decision for coach Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils finished eighth, their worst ever finish in the Premier League, last season, but Ten Hag still has the backing of the club’s owners after leading the team to an incredible FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.
However, the reality is that United were talking to other candidates earlier in the summer, and now the Dutchman is once again facing an uncertain future, with the Old Trafford outfit having struggled to make a dent in the Premier League this season, dropping to 14th place.
Most recently, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his subordinates appeared at his office in Manchester at 9.30am (local time) on Tuesday to discuss many issues, including the future of Ten Hag.
However, according to The Times, coach Ten Hag is still safe after this meeting. In other words, Man Utd leaders will not fire Ten Hag.
“Normally, if a major decision, such as a dismissal, is made at such a meeting, it would be announced publicly immediately, but there was no statement from the club on Tuesday evening.
