Following Chido Obi Martin, Man Utd have also reached an agreement to sign Samuel Lusale from Crystal Palace for their academy. The 16-year-old winger is set to move to Old Trafford after rejecting a scholarship offer from Palace.
Man Utd are stepping up their efforts to sign young talent across England, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. Romano revealed that Arsenal offered Chido Obi Martin a good deal but the Red Devils’ plans ultimately convinced the youngster.
Specifically, legend Ruud van Nistelrooy has joined the negotiations and promised to give Chido the opportunity to play in the first team in the near future. The Italian journalist even said that the former Arsenal player will be Man Utd’s third striker, after Hojlund and Zirkzee.
Romano added: ” This is the kind of deal that Ineos, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and everyone at the club are planning to do for now and the future, to sign top talent and give this type of player an opportunity.”
