Following his dramatic arrest in Manhattan and subsequent sex crime allegations, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is facing the prospect of losing his massive fortune.
Diddy pleaded not guilty when he appeared in court on September 17. He asked to be released on $50 million bail pending trial and to wear a GPS monitor, restricting his travel to New York and Miami. However, the judge denied Diddy’s request for bail.
During his heyday, Diddy was known for his lavish shopping sprees, flashy jewelry, and lavish parties, when his net worth peaked at more than $740 million.
A rapper, music producer, and entrepreneur involved in various companies from radio to alcohol, Diddy’s net worth peaked in 2019 at $740 million and he was well on his way to becoming a billionaire.
But Diddy’s empire began to crumble last November when ex-girlfriend Cassie accused him of sexual assault and physical abuse, prompting at least nine others to file similar lawsuits against him.
Diddy is currently estimated to be worth $400 million, according to Forbes , but faces the fight of his life to maintain his freedom and fortune.

And while the lawsuits threaten to drain the rapper, the loss of Diddy’s income streams — including the collapse of his lucrative brand deals with alcohol giant Diageo — could make funding his legal battle even more costly.
Now, after Diddy tried and failed to put his $48 million Miami mansion up as collateral in court, DailyMail.com takes a look at the assets the rapper could be facing foreclosure on.
How Diddy’s Wealth Soared and His Extravagant Shopping Sprees
As he rose to fame in the 1990s, Diddy made no secret of his growing wealth as he became notorious for wearing flashy jewelry and throwing lavish parties.
Following the success of his record label Bad Boy Records—which catapulted Diddy to stardom through appearances in hit films like Get Him To The Greek —the mogul’s fortune skyrocketed.
Diddy, seen splashing cash at a nightclub in Magic City, Atlanta, once boasted that he was a “billionaire” as a hip-hop icon.
In the two decades before his arrest, Forbes reported that Diddy had earned nearly $1 billion as he expanded into business ventures including a fashion label, a fragrance line and the founding of the Revolt television network.
In 2003, Diddy purchased a sprawling mansion in Miami for $14.5 million, at a time when he was celebrating his studio album The Saga Continues going platinum.
That home is now worth more than $48 million, according to Diddy’s legal team, who pledged the mansion as collateral in a failed attempt to get him released on bail before trial.
The bail package also included the pledge of Diddy’s mother’s $2 million Miami condo as collateral, but this was rejected by a judge.
It was part of a shopping and spending spree that became routine for Diddy as his stock soared, including spending $60 million on a private jet he dubbed “Combs Air.”

Over the years, Diddy has seemingly enjoyed getting attention by spending money, such as wearing a 30-carat diamond ring on his pinky to the 2022 Oscars, owning a fleet of 20 sports cars, and even an art collection that includes works by Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.
In 2014, the producer made another big purchase, a massive Los Angeles mansion he bought for $39 million — one of several assets that appeared vulnerable as the rapper faced prison time.
Diddy and his team often say he’s a billionaire, though he never seems to reach that lofty status.
Forbes listed Diddy’s peak personal wealth at $740 million in 2019, the highest he had ever reached before a series of controversies and business setbacks caused it to collapse.
In an effort to avoid jail time ahead of his trial, Diddy offered a $50 million bailout package that included mortgaging his Miami mansion and his mother’s $2 million condo (pictured).
In June, the outlet conservatively lowered his net worth to $400 million — a figure that experts say will continue to plummet as he hires a team of lawyers to fight the criminal charges he faces.
Loss of business
Regardless of whether he is convicted or exonerated, Diddy will almost certainly also face a series of civil lawsuits from his alleged victims, which will further deplete his assets.
Diddy brought in $66 million a year from 2007 to 2023 through his Ciroc vodka partnership with Diageo, and the venture made up a large portion of his net worth before it collapsed in 2023.
One of the biggest losses in Diddy’s income stream may have nothing to do with the sexual abuse and assault allegations, however, as the collapse of his liquor ventures could cost him hundreds of millions of dollars.
Diddy also sold 50% of his stake in Revolt TV in June after sexual assault allegations were made against him, netting nearly $200 million, a fraction of what his shares were previously worth.

Future civil lawsuits could drain Diddy of cash
As he faces the consequences of a decades-long career in the spotlight, Diddy appears to be in a desperate race to make money and stay afloat.
A week before he was indicted in New York, Diddy put his Los Angeles mansion on the market for $61.5 million, hoping to make a $12.5 million profit on his investment.
Diddy’s attorney said he anticipated the charges against him before making the move, justifying the rapper’s haste to fend off his legal battles.
Diddy was photographed arriving at the New York City premiere of “Bad Boys II” in one of his sports cars, which has become notorious for flaunting his wealth.
In addition to facing heinous sex crime charges in New York, Diddy has also faced 10 civil lawsuits from alleged victims.
Fighting these ongoing lawsuits could cost Diddy dearly, including one that has already cost him a whopping $100 million.
Diddy will have to pay attorneys’ fees — and will also have to pay the victims any settlement money awarded as a result of the judgment, as well as their legal costs.
This month, in the days before his indictment in New York, Michigan inmate Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith was awarded $100 million by default after Diddy failed to appear in court or respond to a lawsuit against him.
Diddy was seen attending the 2022 Oscars, where he made headlines for wearing a 30-carat diamond ring on his pinky finger.
Cardello-Smith alleges that Diddy drugged and sexually assaulted him at a party in Detroit in 1997, but the rapper’s lawyer said he plans to appeal the huge verdict against him.
Diddy is actually running a “criminal enterprise”
For decades, Diddy boasted about building a multimillion-dollar business empire, but federal prosecutors say he ran it as a “criminal enterprise” that engaged in and covered up sex trafficking, forced labor and bribery, according to a 14-page indictment unsealed on Sept. 17.
The indictment accuses Diddy of carrying out a “conspiracy to illegally obtain money” by “engaging in a persistent pattern of abuse against women and other individuals” since 2008.
“As part of this pattern of abuse, Diddy enticed women to engage in sexual activity that was staged with male prostitution,” the indictment says.
Sometimes, Diddy, and others acting at his direction, arranged for women and prostitutes to be flown to Diddy’s address.”
Much of the action took place at the rap mogul’s luxury homes in New York, Los Angeles and two mansions on Star Island in Miami Beach.
Prosecutors said Diddy lured women into having sex with male prostitutes by controlling their careers, luring them with financial support and threatening them with violence.
