Bold & Beautiful’s Tom is dead, and given that we saw someone wearing black leather gloves put a substance into his ice blue hydrating drink backstage at Il Giardino, the toxicology report is bound to kick off a murder mystery. None of this is good news for the restaurant’s resident criminal psychopath, who is bound to be the one to take the blame!
Sheila has been keeping her nose clean on the “outside” aside from some taunting of Finn’s adoptive mother, Li, here and there, but that’s not going to save her from being fingered in Tom’s death.
When the cops come looking for someone with access to Tom’s drink, as well as a motive, they’re not going to have to look too far as the notorious Sheila Carter works and lives right there. Given her penchant for offing people who get in her way or get on her bad side, they’re bound to put her name at the top of the suspect list, and when they start digging, they’ll find more than enough to slap the cuffs on her.
As Bold & Beautiful viewers will recall, Tom had been looking into Sheila’s past in the days leading up to his death… and he did not like what he saw. He expressed his concern out loud, to Deacon, more than once. The supposedly reformed Sheila overheard, of course, and later confronted the busboy.
Fortunately for Tom, he had enough street smarts to assure the madwoman that he wanted no trouble and was happy to keep his concerns to himself and work alongside her in peace. Luckily for him, this seemed to mollify her and she appeared to be wholeheartedly back on Team Tom by the time of his death.
We’ve seen Sheila (repeatedly) when she’s in killer mode and this was not it. Moreover, as a former nurse, Sheila performed CPR on the dying man, which is another clue that she isn’t the person repsonsible. Had she been the culprit who drugged his drink she’d have been unlikely to try and revive him. No, she’d have been grinning that evil “gotcha” smile of hers whilst lurking in a corner somewhere watching it all go down.
Unfortunately for Sheila, once the police check Tom’s phone and find out he’d been looking into her past, and question the restaurant staff, it’s going to be curtains for Deacon’s wife. Who’s statement will seal the deal? Well, that’s the twist.
Deacon was the one who Tom spoke to about Sheila’s criminal past, so if the police question him, he’s going to have to confirm this or lie. Presuming he’s forced to admit that Tom had concerns about his wife and her history, the restaurateur will find himself in the unenviable position of having pinpointed his wife’s motive for the authorities.
Given that all signs point to Li being Tom’s murderer, having her nemesis arrested for the crime is the perfect, ahem, kill two birds with one stone scenario. Perhaps it was even part of her plan. Having the madwoman’s very own husband seal the deal… icing on the cake!
Do you think Sheila will be blamed for Tom’s death?
