Cardi B and Offset are trying to work out their issues before rushing into a committed relationship again.
In an interview with Rolling Stone published Thursday, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper admitted that she and the Migos member have things to improve on before giving their marriage another shot.
“We have our own bad stuff,” the 31-year-old told the outlet. “We’re from two different worlds. Sometimes I cannot be … not that I cannot be a wife. It’s just like, my career takes my life.”
Cardi explained that her “career comes first” and her “kids come second” — leaving little room for romance.
“Sometimes I don’t realize that I’m putting so many things before my relationship,” she candidly explained, noting that it often falls in “last” place.
Although the “WAP” rapper takes accountability for her shortcomings as a partner, it’s not something she wants to change right now.
“I don’t want to grow,” she said. “I remember last year when we was going through our hard time. And it’s like, ‘Put your album out. You’re overstressing. When was the last time we went on a vacation?’ And it’s like, ‘I don’t got time to go on a vacation, because this comes first.’”
When asked what she and Offset, 32, have decided to do about their marriage, she replied, “I think it through. We think it through, because we do love each other. It’s not even about love. We’re best friends.”
She continued, “And it’s like, ‘OK. Well, there was a time that I didn’t have a best friend, or I didn’t have a support system.’ It’s not even about ‘How do you leave a partner?’ How do you stop talking to your best friend?”

However, Cardi admitted to the outlet she and the “Ric Flair Drip” are no longer living under the same roof.
“When Offset comes around, he comes around,” she explained, adding that he is a great “helping hand” with their children: Kulture, 5, and Wave, 2.
Despite their difficult year, Cardi said she and Offset still “really like each other, like a support system.”
“We’re really both each other’s cheerleader,” she said. “I don’t really like talking to people. I’m not as social. If I want something from somebody, he’ll be the one that will talk. Because I don’t like asking.”
The pair have had an on-again, off-again relationship since they started dating in 2017.
Just seven months into dating, the “Say My Grace” rapper and Cardi tied the knot during a low-key ceremony.
However, the pair have broken up and gotten back together several times in the years since, with the “Please Me” rapper even filing for divorce in 2020 — which they later called off.
