Rapper Cardi B has filed for divorce from rap star Offset after 7 years of marriage and is about to give birth to their third child.
According to Page Six , Cardi B is asking for sole custody of her two children, 6-year-old Kulture Kiari and 2-and-a-half-year-old Wave Set.
Just hours later, Cardi B announced on Instagram that she was pregnant again. The 31-year-old rapper posted a series of photos in a revealing dress showing off her baby bump and wrote: “With every ending comes a new beginning! I’m so grateful to share this journey with you. You’ve brought me more love, more life, and renewed strength! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and passion.”
Cardi expressed her deep love for her new baby and said she’s not afraid to embrace life’s twists and turns. “You, your brother and sister have shown me why overcoming challenges is worth it!” Cardi wrote.
Speculation about Cardi B’s pregnancy arose on Wednesday after she revealed her large baby bump while filming an art project in New York.
That same day, Offset was caught up in cheating rumors when a photo of him sitting with a woman named PrettyRedz at a casino went viral. The Instagram account Ig Model Tea Room posted the photo and claimed that PrettyRedz was Offset’s ex-girlfriend. However, the singer denied it. PrettyRedz also denied the rumors, saying that she was 7 months pregnant with her late husband and had no affair with Offset.
Cardi B and Offset got married in 2017 and have been on and off several times. In the early years of their marriage, Cardi B filed for divorce twice amid rumors of her husband’s infidelity, but the couple later reconciled. Last December, the rapper announced her split from Offset. However, the couple was still seen meeting and taking their children out.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine in June, Cardi B admitted that she and her husband often disagree because they “come from two different worlds.” The singer also explained that she used to prioritize her career above all else, followed by her children and partner.
