A new star trio was created prior to the NBA trade deadline as Jimmy Butler was traded to the Golden State Warriors, joining Steph Curry and Draymond Green.
The new trio looked good in their first game together on Saturday, with Curry and Butler combining for 59 points in a 132-111 win over the Chicago Bulls.
On Monday, the new-look Warriors were back in action, facing the Milwaukee Bucks without Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks made a trade of their own at the deadline, acquiring Kyle Kuzma from the Washington Wizards.
This game marked a big moment for Curry and the Warriors, as the former Davidson Wildcats star has now played in his 1,000th regular season game, the first player in franchise history to achieve this.
Golden State announced the news with a post on X.
“1K ⚡️ Stephen Curry is the first player in franchise history to reach 1,000 regular-season games as a Dub.”
NBA fans were left impressed with Curry’s latest achievement, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.
“Remarkable accomplishment considering how the career started with ankle problems,” one fan said.
“Greatest in franchise history,” wrote a second.
“Congratulations on reaching 1000 regular season games with the Warriors Steph!” added another.
“Another milestone for the GOAT,” commented a fourth.
“Stephen Curry making history with the Warriors!” posted a fifth.

Curry broke Chris Mullin’s previous record for the most games in Warriors history (807) a couple of seasons ago. Since then, Green has now passed Mullin for the second most games played in Warriors history with 852. Klay Thompson comes in at fourth with 793 career games.
Following the Bucks game, the Warriors will continue a seven-game road trip with a battle against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday and the Houston Rockets on Thursday.
