Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois are set to collide in a heavyweight blockbuster but both men have been warned they don’t hit as hard as David Price.British heavyweight boxer Frazer Clarke has claimed that Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois don’t hit as hard as retired boxer David Price.
The comments from the Olympic bronze medallist come ahead of the much-anticipated bout between Joshua and Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title on September 21, following the enforced stripping of the belt from undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk last week.
Despite the power both men bring to the ring, Clarke (8-0-1) insists that neither can match Price’s punching prowess who won 20 of his 25 professional boxing wins by knockout. While admitting both Joshua and Dubois pack a heavy punch, it’s Price that left him startled.
Speaking to Boxing Social, Clarke said: It’s a different kind of punch but I think that on a single shot probably Joshua just [punches harder than Dubois],” Clarke, 32, told Boxing Social. “Joshua comes with a bit more speed than Dubois so they come sharp, Dubois is a real thud.
I’ll say it again, and he has no place in this conversation [about Joshua and Dubois] but both of them two are leaps and bounds away from David Price – f*** me, Jesus Christ,” Clarke added.
