Manchester United beat PAOK 2-0 at Old Trafford to finally get a win in the Europa League. It was their fourth round of games.

Manchester United climbed up to 15th in the Europa League table after beating the Greek champions. They are now finally on track to make it to the next round.

It was Ruud van Nistelrooy’s third and almost last game in charge of the team. Ruben Amorim officially took over on Monday after United agreed to pay Sporting the £9.25m release clause that locked him in.

At Old Trafford on a cold November night, Amad Diallo was the star. He scored twice to show that he deserves to start after sitting on the bench for a month.

The 16th player for United was in great shape on Thursday, and his friends, Kobbie Mainoo and Rasmus Hojlund, were impressed.

Amad was by far the best player on the field during United vs. PAOK. He made three dribbles and was always the most dangerous.

There was one person who was impressed: Mainoo. He watched from home while he heals from an illness. He should be back later this month.

Taking to Instagram, Mainoo shared a picture of Amad celebrating on his story, along with a caption that gave the skilled Ivory Coast international a new name.

He called him “Amadinho,” which was a play on Ronaldinho, who would have been impressed with how well United’s 22-year-old played on Thursday.

Rasmus Hojlund praised Amad on his Instagram, even though the Dane was having a hard time himself. Mainoo wasn’t the only one who did this.

Every time Manchester United plays, Amad should start.

Amad hadn’t played since the 3-3 draw against Porto a month ago, but he did play Thursday night against PAOK.

When you think about how good he had been so far this season, Erik ten Hag’s choice was very strange.

Now that he has a chance, he has made Ten Hag’s choices look bad and made it clear to both Van Nistelrooy and Amorim that he should start every game.

On the right, Amad has something very different, which is nice to see. Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford are both right-footed and usually look for the shot, but Amad makes the players around him better.

But he can also score, and most of the time, when he shoots, he makes the right choice. He could quickly become the most important player on the team if he keeps up this level of play.
