BEFORE Nani, a star player for Manchester United is in great shape for his age (36).
In a social media post, the former Old Trafford player showed off how fit he was.
Nani showed off his abs in an Instagram post from the offices of the Portuguese Football Federation in Lisbon.
In January, while playing for the Australian team Melbourne Victory, the former United star tore his ACL and is now healing from surgery.
Nani also seems to be in great shape because he trained in Portugal as part of his recovery.
“The journey may be hard, but the reward will be worth it!” was the caption on his post.
“It’s great to be back at the Cidade do Futebol for a practice.” Planned to come back stronger!”
After reading the comments, some fans were confused about why Nani was training in Portugal instead of Melbourne, even though the forward was out with a long-term illness.
A writer wrote: “Should be training in Melbourne with your CONTRACTED team….”
Someone said: “Why aren’t you training with @gomvfc [Melbourne Victory]?”
A third said: “Why don’t you come back to Melbourne where you should be and ‘focus on coming back stronger’.”
Nani signed a two-year deal with the Australian team last summer after leaving Venezia in Italy.
He played 230 games for Manchester United before permanently leaving Old Trafford to join the Turkish giants Fenerbahce in 2015. Before that, he had a loan spell with Sporting CP in his home country of Portugal.
Nani won the Club World Cup, four Premier League wins, the Champions League, and two League Cups while he was with United.
He has also played 112 times for Portugal.
