Captain midfielder Bruno Fernandes has had the red card he received against Tottenham overturned and will play for Man United in the upcoming matches.

In the match where Manchester United lost 0-3 to Tottenham at Old Trafford in the early morning of September 30 in the 6th round of the Premier League, midfielder Bruno Fernandes received a direct red card after a foul on Tottenham’s James Maddison. This red card caused Man United to lose a man and suffer a 0-3 defeat.
After the match, Manchester United lodged an appeal. And the Football Association (FA) confirmed that Bruno Fernandes’ red card would be overturned. This means he will avoid suspension and will be available for Man United’s next three Premier League matches.
The FA announced the decision to remove the card for Bruno Fernandes with the following content: “Bruno Fernandes will be present in the next three matches of Man United after successfully appealing against the unjust dismissal penalty.”
Earlier, Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag said the red card “changed the game” and cost his team. Bruno Fernandes was furious with the referee’s decision and claimed Maddison himself had said it was not a red card.
Bruno Fernandes said: “I think everyone can see that it was not a red card situation. I have never seen a case of a red card so quickly. I don’t understand why VAR didn’t ask the referee to review the screen.”
