BREAKING NEWS: Tim Allen and actors’ union boycott ABC: ‘They’ve gone too far!’ – VC

In the latest showdown in the culture wars, Tim Allen’s Non-Woke Actors Alliance (NWAA) has announced an official boycott of ABC, declaring that the network has “completely lost its way” following its handling of the recent presidential debate. The NWAA, a group of Hollywood actors who believe the entertainment industry has been overrun by “woke culture,” has had enough, and this time they’re targeting the television network that has been home to some of their biggest careers.

Tim Allen, known for his iconic roles in Home Improvement and Last Man Standing , founded the NWAA earlier this year, bringing together actors who felt Hollywood was more interested in putting on an act of virtuosity than creating meaningful entertainment. The boycott was sparked by ABC’s moderation team during the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, where critics, particularly from conservative circles, attacked the network’s moderators for allegedly doing more rigorous fact-checking on Trump than Harris.

“It wasn’t even a debate. It was a mockery,” Allen said in a statement. “The moderators didn’t even try to be neutral. They have lost all sense of professionalism, and they have lost us as viewers.”

The spark that lit the flame of the boycott was ABC’s coverage of the debate, which featured moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis. Critics on the right, including members of the NWAA, claim the moderators were unfairly harsh on Trump, constantly interrupting him, fact-checking his statements in real time and allowing Harris to run away with her answers.

“It was like watching someone debate the moderators, not the other candidate,” said one NWAA member, who asked to remain anonymous. “This is not journalism. This is an ambush.”

The backlash began almost immediately after the debate ended, with conservative commentators, influencers and ordinary viewers taking to social media to express their frustration. But while many were content to tweet their anger, Tim Allen and his alliance decided to take it a step further.

“ABC is supposed to be a network for everyone,” Allen continued in his statement. “But when they start taking sides, especially during something as important as a presidential debate, that’s when we have to stand up and say, ‘Enough.’”

The Unwoke Actors Alliance, though still somewhat secretive in its membership, is believed to be comprised of actors and industry professionals who are tired of what they see as Hollywood’s obsession with identity politics and political correctness. They believe the entertainment industry has lost touch with everyday Americans and has instead become a bubble of progressive ideology.

Tim Allen, who has long been an outspoken conservative in an industry that leans liberal, founded the group as a way to resist the “woke agenda” that has permeated Hollywood in recent years. The NWAA has largely kept a low profile, preferring to act quietly, but the ABC boycott is by far its most public action to date.

“We’ve been watching Hollywood move further and further to the left for years,” said another anonymous NWAA member. “And honestly, most of us just put our heads down and did our jobs. But the debate was a turning point. It wasn’t just about politics. It was about fairness, and ABC threw that out the window.”

The group isn’t just angry about the debate itself; they’re furious about what they perceive as ABC’s broader agenda. They point to the network’s programming choices, which in recent years have become more diverse and politically progressive, as more evidence that ABC is no longer interested in representing the full spectrum of American viewers.

The boycott announcement was made in typical Tim Allen style: direct, blunt and with a touch of humor. “We’ve loved working with ABC over the years,” Allen said. “But let’s be honest, they’ve lost their way. Somewhere along the way, they traded good stories for political propaganda. And frankly, we’re not interested in seeing it anymore.”

Allen’s message was simple: If ABC continues down this path, they can kiss goodbye to millions of viewers who, like the NWAA, are fed up with what they see as a one-sided narrative. The NWAA is calling on its fans, fellow actors and everyday Americans to join them in the boycott, urging viewers to turn off ABC and seek entertainment elsewhere.
