The Kansas City Chiefs take a lot of pride in their defense, and their linebackers play a key part in the team playing well on that side of the ball.
In a recent article by Bleacher Report’s David Kenyon, he puts together a team full of the most underrated players in the league. At the linebacker spot, he has two Chiefs, the first of them being Leo Chenal.

He finished this past season with a solid 65 total tackles, 40 of which were solo, and eight for a loss. He was also able to show his versatility by getting three sacks and seven quarterback hits. He will be looking to build on that season and make an even bigger impact this season.
The other Chiefs linebacker that Kenyon has on his list is Drue Tranquill, as he made his presence felt whenever he was on the field.
He finished his 2023 campaign with 78 total tackles, as well as 4.5 sacks. He was able to do all of this while only starting in eight games. Making the most of your snaps is something every team looks for, and it could cause Tranquill to have a bigger role this season.
If the linebacker duo of Chenal and Tranquill can build on their impressive 2023 seasons, they could put the Chiefs’ defensive in even better position to help the team win its third straight Super Bowl.
