Just one day after Tom Brady helped the Tampa Bay Bucs get to the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs, his name began trending on Twitter alongside Colin Kaepernick.
One single tweet pointed out fans can easily separate Tom Brady’s politics from his play on the field, but were unwilling to do the same with Colin Kaepernick.
Trending & fair topic:
Some football fans are pointing out that [Tom Brady’s] politics, i.e., his friendship with Donald Trump, haven’t derailed his career in the way that Colin Kaepernick’s peaceful protest of police violence did, arguably leading to his exit from the NFL.

Among the many people to have a comment about it was Herschel Walker’s son.
Christian Walker took to Twitter and not only called the former NFL QB a sucky player, but stated he was a ‘powerpuff girl’ compared to the likes of Tom Brady.
Kaepernick was a SUCKY player who kneeled for attention. His career is throwing public temper tantrums encouraged by his radical girlfriend. He is a powerpuff girl compared to Tom Brady. They shouldn’t even be put in the same sentence.
Kaepernick has been out of the league since the end of the 2016 season after his kneeling during the National Anthem caused a wave of controversy that can still be felt some 5 years later.
