Nacho Fernandez recently said an emotional farewell to Real Madrid after 23 years with the club.
The Spanish international was an important factor in leading the team to win the Champions League and La Liga double last season 2023/24. Besides, earlier this month, he also contributed to helping Spain lift the Euro 2024 championship trophy.

In a private farewell ceremony with only the club’s board of directors, teammates, former players and president Florentino Perez, Nacho said through tears: “This is the most beautiful ending I can have.” imagine. I leave as captain and have the honor of lifting my 15th European Cup.
“I left because I wanted to gain more experience in my career and face new challenges. I want to be remembered as a player who gave his all for the club.

Nacho is the player who holds the record with 26 titles with Real Madrid, notably six Champions League titles. He joined the club when he was 10 years old and made his first team debut in 2012.
President Perez, on behalf of the board of directors, presented Nacho with a badge and said: “We are proud to have had you for the past 23 years. You came here when you were 10 years old and have played in all age groups. the youth teams and the first team. I want you to know that we are extremely proud of one of Real Madrid’s most legendary players. I want to thank you for your dedication to this club know this is and will always be your home.”
