By now, Young and the Restlessâs Tucker McCall should know that Paris isnât the best place for him. Thereâs the time his marriage imploded thereâit flamed out in a quaint Parisian restaurant. But that was personal. This last time, the City of Love became the City of Crushed Dreams when he lost his business. Audra, with the help of Victor Newman, made mincemeat out of Tucker and stole Glissade from him. The loss was so great heâs been missing in action ever since. Where is he?
Tucker Down for the Count
For a while, Tucker (Trevor St. John) thought he could count on Audra (Zuleyka Silver). But he took her for granted one too many times. And she had enough. Suddenly, she appeared armed with enough capital to make Tucker pay for every underestimation. Sure, she had to go into business with the rich, ruthless Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Ultimately, it was worth it when she told him that Glissade was hers.
Tucker didnât know what to do with himself. At first, he thought Jack (Peter Bergman) was the mystery investor Audra teamed up with, but it wasnât. While he helped save Ashley (Eileen Davidson) from Alanâs psychotic brother, Martin (Christopher Cousins), Tucker took his eye off the ball. Audra slipped right in, got to all the Glissade board members, trashed Tucker to every single one of them, and engineered a hostile takeover. Although, the only one who was hostile was Tucker. He even attempted to stall the purchase using underhanded tactics, AKA a fake heart attack.
Mysteriously, we havenât seen or heard from Tucker ever since he experienced the agony of defeat. Where is he? Is he still licking his wounds in Paris? Is he recharging and waiting to attack once he has a new plan or a brand-new company to fight Glissade and Jabot? Should we worry about Tucker McCall? Has he gone for good, or has he gone to check in with his ashram, as Audra speculated?
If we were him, we would depart Paris immediately â itâs not the city for him. Instead, weâd find a safe place (not Genoa City) to recoup and reconfigure life as we know it. Maybe buy a private island and contemplate our choices. Intensive therapy would also help him.
There has been no word on Trevor St. Johnâs status or from the actor himself. For example, he hasnât posted on X, Formerly Twitter, since June 18, 2024, when the One Life to Live alum wrote that Tucker McCall was in his go phase. In the posts, he said, âDear #YR @YandR_CBSl @YRInsider #YoungandRestless fans: As you well know, Tuckers come and Tuckers go and so the cycle continues⌠this Tucker is in his go phaseâŚ
In a follow-up post, St. John wrote, âI thank each and every member of the wonderful cast, the crew, the directors, the producers and production staff, and CBS/Sony for the great experience from day one to the last. I feel so fortunate to have played such a terrific role.â
Even though Tucker was a selfish, sarcastic, surly individual who was also a bad dad, he did seem to want to change. And ultimately, he didnât get the redemption he would deny wanting (but really, really needed). He may be happy to hear someday that some of his fans are missing his special brand of sarcastic wit combined with a dash of humanity.
Shortly after Tucker disappeared, @Sarah_YR wondered what was up. âDid I miss something, but what actually happened to Tucker? Did they say? Is he hiding out somewhere in Paris? #YRâ
In a reply to St. Johnâs goodbye post, @therealmsglover said, âTrevor, you will be so missed. I love what you have done with the role of Tucker but most importantly every role you take on you bring light and laughter to it. Thank you for your time on #YR again youâre going to be so missed! Fans, we love you so much & wish you the best!!â
