Jack Kidd Jr.
Over the weekend, cast and former cast members of The Bold and the Beautiful used their social media platforms to look for a missing crew member, Jack Kidd Jr., who was head grip in the camera and electrical department. Sadly, authorities found his body.
Crash Victim
According to KHTS, authorities found the body of the 60-year-old Canyon Country resident. Kidd Jr. was last seen driving his white Dodge truck around 4:30 am on Thursday, July 25. On Sunday afternoon, a drone found the truck crashed on a steep ravine beside winding Little Tujunga Canyon Road.
CHP Officer Josh Greengard said, “Upon arrival, CVSO repelled approximately 300 feet to the vehicle and located the lifeless body of a male approximately three feet from the white Dodge.”
Kidd’s niece, Danielle Rivera, gave an update online. “It is with deep sadness and immense pain that we announce the passing of our sweet Jack. His truck was involved in a collision and located off Little Tujunga Canyon Sunday afternoon. We cannot imagine our life without him and ask for your respect and prayers as we navigate this incredibly difficult time,” she said.
A post on the IATSE Local 33 Facebook page read, “With a heavy heart, Our Union Brother, my cousin, Jack Kidd, was found today. I want to thank Robert Nottingham, who found Jack’s truck in the canyon. I want to thank all the brothers and sisters who went out to search for Jack. Thank you to the search and rescue team who volunteered their time to carefully recover Jack, showing great respect for the family on site. Thank you to TVC Studios management for staying in touch with me. Thank you, Bold & Beautiful, for using your PR crew to help us find Jack.
