Oleksandr Usyk, fresh off becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era, didn’t hold back when comparing reigning IBF World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Dubois to Anthony Joshua. Usyk’s journey to the top included overcoming five British fighters in six years, including Joshua, who he defeated twice.

In a controversial bout against Dubois, Usyk was nearly floored in the fifth round by a disputed low blow, but he recovered to retain his titles via a ninth-round knockout. Despite Dubois’ protests and his promoter Frank Warren’s demands for a rematch, Usyk’s victory stood firm.

Usyk’s win over Joshua showcased his skill, disproving critics who doubted his move up from cruiserweight. Dubois, who inherited Usyk’s IBF title after Usyk vacated it, is set to defend his title against Joshua at Wembley Stadium on September 21.

In a brutally honest interview with Boxing News, Usyk compared the two fighters, stating, “There is no way to compare [Dubois and Joshua], because they are completely different fighters…I don’t think [Dubois can reach Joshua’s level].”
