The Rick Ross real estate craze continues.
The 47-year-old rapper bought a $37 million Miami estate to add to his rich portfolio. The waterfront mansion is on Star Island, a guard-gated community off Biscayne Bay with A-list homeowners.
Kimberly Knausz of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, who worked with Ross’s sister Tawanda Roberts of Florida Realty of Miami to broker the deal, said the “Rich Is Gangsta” hitmaker’s new home is on a 40,000-square-foot lot with 100 feet of waterfront.
Six bedrooms, eight and a half baths, a chef’s kitchen, and a bay-facing principal suite with dual walk-in closets and bathrooms make up the 12,374-square-foot home. A heated pool, summer kitchen, 40-foot pier, and bay and ocean access are available outdoors.
“He immediately fell in love with the grand entry’s long driveway leading to the mansion, which exudes luxury,” Knausz tells PEOPLE. “The architecture is above the average modern home, and he plans to customize it to reflect his style.”
Ross called the big-ticket purchаse “a major piece to the puzzle” of his real estate holdings.
Ross posted an Instagram selfie of himself in a cowboy hat and western boots in April to announce his Texas house purchаse. “I invite the great state of Texas to take a shot of @deaconwhisky to celebrate my newest home in the Lone Star State,” he captioned the image, “Rodeo Rick.”
The “Hustlin’” singer bought an Atlanta house the same month. He bought former NBA great Amar’e Stoudemire’s Southwest Ranches mansion west of Fort Lauderdale in cash in March 2021. “It’s a sprawling estate in a very secluded area,” he told PEOPLE. “From the moment I stepped inside, I appreciated the high ceilings and rich detail.”
The artist calls his 45,000-square-foot, 109-room Fayetteville house “The Promise Land.” The 2021 film Coming 2 America uses the 235-acre home as Prince Akeem Joffer’s (Eddie Murphy) palace, according to NBC News.
