Los Angeles, CA – February 19, 2025 – The Los Angeles Dodgers have officially traded veteran relief pitcher Ryan Brasier to the Chicago Cubs in exchange for a player to be named later (PTBNL) or cash considerations. The deal was confirmed by both teams earlier today.
Brasier, 36, played a key role in the Dodgers’ bullpen last season, posting a 2.75 ERA over 52 innings pitched. After joining Los Angeles in mid-2023, he quickly became a reliable late-inning option for manager Dave Roberts. Despite his solid performance, the Dodgers opted to move Brasier as part of their efforts to restructure their pitching staff ahead of the 2025 season.
