The Warriors’ misery continues! They headed into last night’s Lakers clash hoping to continue the momentum from Thursday’s blowout win against the Bulls. But they could not cope against the dominance of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Falling victim to their struggles once again, the Bay Area franchise lost by ten points. And Stephen Curry was left in utter shock when he found out a shocking stat about his team’s underwhelming season.
Turns out, they are 1-20 this season when trailing a game after three quarters. Even against the LA franchise, the Warriors headed into the final period down by six points. When a reporter brought it up during the postgame presser, Steph could not believe it. “WHAT?” He remarked, and when the reporter confirmed it, Steph said, “Sheesh! I did not know that.”
Obviously, this is not something Steph is used to because for the past decade, the Warriors were known for being dominant in the third quarter and blowing their opponents out. But the tables have turned this year.
Yes, Davis and LeBron were unstoppable as they combined for 61 points. While The Brow was knocking down shot after shot, LBJ dominated inside the paint.
Steph continued, “I’m sure 1-20 is probably for a lot of reasons, but you know one of those kind of anomalies we got to figure out.” Being the leader that he is, the Baby-Faced Assassin took accountability for the team’s struggles.

While LeBron and AD wreaked havoc, Steph could not respond. He had one of his worst performances, finishing with only 13 points on 4 of 17 shooting from the field. Adding to the misery, the sharpshooter went scoreless in the second half, which was a major reason his team lost.
And Steph made an honest admission after the game, “I just got to play better. Any game where I play like that, it’s going to be hard for us to win.”
Well, Steph has fallen off significantly this season, with his scoring average dropping to 22.6 points. Obviously, a lot of it has to do with his age and the revamped roster following Klay Thompson’s departure. But if the Warriors want to contend for another title before it’s too late, Chef needs to up his game and return to playing at a high level.
